john mcwade has been producing "cool stuff" for many years and in fact was the first commercial user of Aldus pagemaker waaaaaay back in the day. he is a leading voice for clarity when it comes to design.

mcwade has a few books that are well worth reading, but if you subscribe to the bamagazine.com website you may already know that the out of print and not before digitally available early issues are now available on thier site. i just recieved my copy of the Master Collection and although some of the look and feel of the early issues are dated, the concepts are still solid. since clarity is timeless and has been the focus of the site/author/publication since the begining, the issues are very much worth the small fee.
